I have a simple philosophy about counseling. I am committed to helping my clients better understand themselves and others; to help them reduce conflict both internally and externally; to help them build personal skill and effectiveness, and to help them achieve a sense of abundance and well-being in all aspects of their lives.
I received a Masters in Counseling from the University of Oregon in 1986. Major course work included values and human behavior, cognitive therapy, and human growth and development. My 30 years of experience have been in both a clinic and private practice setting, working with adults 18 years and older. I see both individuals and couples, and especially love the couples work.
In order to maintain my license, I participate regularly in continuing education, taking courses that are relevant and meaningful to the process of therapy.
I am a member of the Oregon Counseling Association and the American Counseling Association.
As a Licensee of the Oregon Board of Licenses Professional Counselors and Therapists, I abide by it's code of ethics.
I am married and have a wonderful relationship with my husband. We have two black labs who get a lot of our attention. We love to travel, ride our tandem, read, golf, cook and entertain friends.
